Motorcycle Insurance

If you own a motorcycle in the state of Pennsylvania, state law mandates that you have at least the minimum liability and property damage insurance. Many bikers don’t have adequate protection and in the event of a loss, they find out after it’s too late. For many people, it’s tempting to get the cheapest insurance policy possible. However, we recommend that you speak with one of our professional agents before you make that decision. In our experience, the few extra dollars that you may spend each year for the better coverage will be much less than the thousands of dollars you may lose because of the cheap coverage.

Types of coverage

Bodily Injury Liability - This coverage protects you against bodily injury done to others due to an accident. This coverage is required by the state of Pennsylvania.

Property Damage – This covers damage to other’s property caused by you in an accident.

Collision – This will cover damage to your bike if you have an accident with another vehicle or stationary object.

Comprehensive – This will cover your bike in a non-collision accident such as vandalism or fire.

Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage – Because bikers are at higher risk for bodily injury in the event of an accident, this is one of the most important coverages a motorcycle owner can purchase. This coverage protects you and your passenger from motorists that have either state minimum insurance or no insurance at all. If you sustain serious injuries and incur large medical bills as a result of an accident with one of these drivers, the few extra dollars per year spent on this coverage could possibly save you thousands of dollars down the road.
